[vmchecker-dev] unit testing

Hi,

I was thinking that is a good moment to start writing some unit tests
for both the Python modules and for UI.

As the code starts growing, we won't keep it clean without having some
rigor on the contributions, and unit tests came first in my mind.
Ideally, we should make commits only with at least one unit test
attached.

What do you think?
